On behalf of the Board of ASECU, we are proud and extremely happy to announce the Tsekouras Prize winner 2019!
Ms. Violina KIRILOVA, Bachelor of International Economic Relations from D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (Bulgaria) has been awarded the Certificate of Honor and the Tsekouras Prize for Young Economists (500 Euro) by results of the blind-review selection process by the Scientific Committee of ASECU appointed after the 8th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School 2019. Ms. Kirilova’s research was dedicated to the following topic: “Impact of the Level of Economic Development on the Generation of Plastic Waste within the European Union”.
The Tsekouras Prize winner is traditionally announced in the frame of the ASECU International Conference following the ASECU Youth Summer School. This year, the 16th ASECU International Conference entitled “GLOBAL SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CHALLENGES AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT” was held online on November 19, 2020 by Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEM) (Russia).
As one of the rules of the Tsekouras Prize for Young Economists, all 5 nominated papers are introduced as the best 5 papers of young scholars at the ASECU International Conference and are published in the proceedings of the conference.
ASECU and ASECU Youth is a scientific community that aims to spot pure research and encourage young promising economists with prizes and privileged publication opportunities.
We look forward to new students at the next anniversary 10th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School in Iasi, Romania, who would compete for the Tsekouras Prize for Young Economists 2021!
